ULTRA-ART was ASHTAR International‘s 6th Youth Theatre Festival, which took place in Summer 2022, in partnership with Mandala Theatre.
We joined the festival in 2022 as project partners and were privileged to travel to Palestine to deliver a weeks worth of puppetry workshops to a group of 20 young people. Hattie, Molly and Matt ran workshops in performance, designing and making puppets, to take part in a street parade at the end of the project.
Festival performers and participants came from far and wide, including Ramallah, Nablus, Jaffa, Jenin and Ruht in Palestine, as well as Romania, Sweden, Ireland, England, Egypt and France.
