George Bellamy (Creative Associate)

George first worked with Smoking Apples in 2012, after graduating from Rose Bruford College in the same year, and since then has collaborated on numerous shows with the company. He is passionate about storytelling, sound and puppetry, and works with Smoking Apples as a writer, sound designer, puppeteer and performer. George also loves the great outdoors and has worked closely with the apples on their outdoor touring shows, assisting with the writing and development. In 2023, Smoking Apples’ show Kinder won an OFFIE award for Best Original Music/Sound, with George as Sound Designer and Jon Ouin as Composer. At the OFFIEs George was also nominated as a co-writer of the same show, alongside Molly Freeman, which went on to win Best Production for Young Audiences. George also works as a freelance project manager.
