Greener website!

We are pleased to tell you that we have now moved our web hosting over to a greener service, we have also started work on reducing file sizes and removing unnecessary script, all in a bid to try and improve our environmental impact. And yes, of course we have some lovely stats to share with you:

We have gone from 2.26g of CO2 per page load to 0.40g

We were 94% worse than other webpages, we are now better than 65% of all websites

Our rating has moved from an E to a C

We’ve reduced the page assets from 6.33mb to 1.18mb – thats 81% smaller

We are now saving almost 2g of co2 per visit to our site! That’s as much co2 as is produced when drying your hands with a dyson airblade (according to Mike Berners-Lee)
